Juliana Ericson is from New York, raised in Florida and has been a Nashville native for the past 29 years. Although she played the viola in symphonies in Florida, painting was always her first love. Fauvism, expressionism and her Scandinavian heritage still heavily influences Ericson's painting style. Her easy use of bold, vibrant colors has made her a popular artist in this region. Voted "The Best of Nashville" visual artist for 2006 by Nashville Scene readers, she also uses her talents teaching inner city children and helping fund art programs in public schools.

In 2005 & 2006 she participated in Gibson Guitar's Guitartown Project. 30 or so sponsored artists painted 10-ft. fiberglass guitars with their unique, personalized paintings. The guitars were auctioned off and the proceeds went to help several Nashville charities. Her painted guitar of Centennial Park, a beloved Nashville landmark, was downtown on Broadway during the year prior to the charity auction. She has since been published in the book "Guitar Art: The Art of a Music City Legend."

Ms. Ericson has had several one-person shows in Nashville including Cheekwood, the Tennessee Art Center, and the Hendersonville Arts Council. She has also participated in showings in Nashville Municipal airport, Tennessee Art Center, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and St. Thomas Hospital's Institute for the Healing Arts.

Her fundraising efforts, with donations to auctions & shows include: Ensworth School, Nashville Opera, TN Environmental Council, International Justice Mission, University School, Bethlehem Center, Aiken School, King's Daughter Day Home, W.O.Smith School and High Hopes. She contributed a painting to the new Metro Family & Domestic Violence Shelter hoping to bring some comfort to those unfortunate people. She has also taught free art classes to inner city children.

Ericson's work is owned by private and corporate collectors in the US and Europe. She shows her work in numerous places around the Nashville area, including the Acorn Restaurant. In Alabama she is represented by Willis-Gray Gallery near Huntsville. In Jackson, Mississippi Na-Ann Interior Design & Art, and in Florida she is represented by H'Art Gallery in Dunedin. A mother, an artist, an elder and a civic volunteer, Juliana Ericson brings her art and joyous creativity to everything she touches.
